events scheduled throughout the year. Maggie Mae Setzer, for whom
Maggie Valley was named,
was born in 1890 in a small log cabin that still stands
(in altered form) at the foot of Setzer Mountain. The area is home to NC's oldest Ski Area,
Cataloochee Ski Area. |
