Lake, the Joyce Kilmer Memorial

National Forest. Graham County
and Robbinsville border the
Great Smoky Mountains National
Park and The Appalachian
Trail winds through the county
on its way to Maine.

will never be spoiled by development.
Stecoah Valley North
Carolina
and the unspoiled mountains and crystal
clear streams and lakes of Graham Countyare a natural choice for people who
enjoy a quiet retreat. Stecoah water sports
are especially popular on two lakes:
Santeetlah Lake and Lake Fontana.
Several of the trout streams in the Stecoah Valley have a national reputation. Air
and water pollution
or crime and traffic jams are almost unheard of. And because the Nantahala National
Forest covers approximately sixty percent of Graham County, the beauty and privacy
will be preserved
